Medicare

You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate if you have a Medicare card and you access a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) prior to your psychology appointment. Your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician is able to do this. The treatment plan enables you to recieve rebates for the first 10 sessions with a psychologist during the calendar year. The limited sessions reset at the start of the next calendar year.

Private Health Insurance

​If you have private health insurance, depending on your health fund and what cover you have chosen, you should be able to claim an amount from them. Please contact your private health insurance to confirm with them how much they will rebate. You will be provided with a reciept upon payment of your psychology session which includes all the necessary details for you to collect your private health rebate.
